Hello! So great to see you today! Come on in and borrow one of my vintage hats.
Choose a cup and saucer from the cupboard while I make the tea and pop a cosy on!
Now lets have a cupcake or two with our tea! and chat about all sorts of things.
Lastly we'll say a quiet prayer for those Aussies who have been suffered so much in the floods in Queensland and the fires in Victoria.
We'll think about what we can contribute to help by donating to the Red Cross in Australia at www.redcross.org.au OR 1800 811 700 (for Aussies 0nly), or in a practical way via the blogs of beautiful people like Kirstie at http://adelinecountrycottage.blogspot.com/ and/or Monica who is putting together comfort packs for children at http://beyondpinkandblue.blogspot.com/

ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so pretty, I wish I could just hop on over...but Louisiana USA is rather a far hop. I'd hate for the coffee to cool!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Thank you for the invitation to tea. I would love some tea, and a cupcake. But especially to join you in prayer for those in Australia that have lost so much. I am praying...God bless them.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I enjoyed out tea party. I'm off to check out some of the links you mentioned. You and your country are in my prayers. ((Hugs))
ReplyDeleteI love tea, and a cup would be wonderful, and who can pass up cake in any form.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you all in Australia, whether you are in the affected areas or not it is still cause for consern. On our news here in the P.N.W. it showed the fires, and then it showed a fireman giveing water to a Kola bear. It was a very touching scene. Take courage, I wish I was able to help. THere is always the comfort from the Bible, I like Revelation 21:4, better times ahead.
Take care and thanks for the tea.
Thank you for your prayers and kind words and visit for a virtual 'cuppa'. We would appreciate those who can continue to pray for those affected by the fires in Vistoria and floods in Queensland. I hope to post again soon. At present have family & friends staying.
ReplyDeletei love your hats...i'm working on building up my own collection. what fun.

Handmade Help at
www.handmadehelpsout.blogspot.com
is calling for crafty's to send in any bits of your stash that can go to fellow crafters who have lost everything. Fat quarters, pins, needles, scissors, cottons, wool etc. The site has plenty to read about ways to donate or fundraise.
www.meetmeatmikes.blogspot.com is another site which ties in with the one above.
Prayers for those in the Queensland floods and those in Vic - our land and mother nature can be quite cruel at times.

I love the hats! I will take my tea with milk, please. The rose plate with the cupcakes, I just got a set of six tea cups and saucers as a gift that match your plate. Do you have a set? I would love to have more pieces. I need to see who makes this set! I could go see if any markings are on the bottom. lol
ReplyDeletelove the hats and the tea cups...so pretty
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tea party:) I too like vintage hats (we seem to have much in common). Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteMay I have chamomile tea please? I need something to really soothe me today. Love all your roses. Your header is gorgeous! I had a fantastic collection of tea cups but when we moved I donated them to the nursing home where I work. That way I get to see them and know that they are used by our dear residents for special occasions.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading through some of your posts. All your pictures etc. are just so pretty and feminine. Thanks for the refreshments this morning tea break at my place.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid it's a pottery mug at my house today!
